Alcaraz Aware Of Tsitsipas Comments About Revenge Ahead Of Barcelona Final

Carlos Alcaraz and Stefanos Tsitsipas are gearing up for an electrifying rematch in the 2023 Barcelona Open final.

Last year's fiery encounter between the two at the Barcelona Open saw Alcaraz emerging victorious, but not before a heated moment involving Tsitsipas firing a ball at the young Spaniard. Despite the on-court drama, Alcaraz displayed his maturity and focus to secure the win.

This year's final presents the perfect opportunity for Tsitsipas to seek redemption, and he's made his intentions clear. The upcoming final will be their fourth meeting on the ATP Tour, and Tsitsipas has yet to defeat Alcaraz.

The Greek's most recent loss to the Spanish sensation occurred exactly one year ago in Barcelona. This time, both players are eager to face each other again, with Tsitsipas determined to settle the score and Alcaraz relishing the challenge.

During the press conference after his semifinal win over Dan Evans, Alcaraz commented on his performance and acknowledged Tsitsipas' desire for revenge.

"Today I played very well, with good feelings for tomorrow. The important part of the game was to take the initiative and I did it. It is true that I could have had some disconnection at the end, but I was able to solve it."

As any player that loses a match, or three in a row against a certain player, Tsitsipas wants to finally beat the teenager and get his revenge. Alcaraz is aware of that and he made it clear before their final meeting in Barcelona.

"I have seen that he has said many times that he wants revenge, that he wants to play against me. That is good, I also want to play against him, Stefanos Tsitsipas he is one of the best in the world and I love challenges, I am very motivated to tomorrow's game."
