The 2022 Geneva Open will take place from May 15th to 21st at the Tennis Club de Genève in Parc des Eaux-Vives, Switzerland's oldest and largest tennis club, with an intriguing draw.

Players like Stan Wawrinka and Alexander Zverev have won the event in the past. Last year, Roger Federer competed in the Geneva Open, but was defeated by young Norwegian Casper Ruud, who took home the top prize. Ruud will defend his championship in the Swiss city this year as he's the second-seeded at the event and will start in the bottom part of the draw.

The first-seeded Daniil Medvedev has a bye in the first round and will meet the winner of the match between Richard Gasquet and John Millman in the second. In the quarterfinals, he could meet returning Dominic Thiem who will start his 2022 Geneva Open campaign against a qualifier.

No. 2 in the Swiss city and the 2021 Geneva Open champion, Casper Ruud will meet the winner of the match between Benoit Paire and Emil Ruusuvuori in the second round. Denis Shapovalov, who is the third-seeded, will take on Ilya Ivashka or Marcos Giron in his first match in Geneva.
